i love making

commission pieces

'I love creating commission pieces because it lets me tell your unique story through my art. Every custom painting is a chance to capture a special memory, favourite place, or beloved animal in a way that’s deeply personal and truly one-of-a-kind. It’s such a joy to craft something meaningful that will be treasured for years to come'

About Carly

Hi, I’m Carly Milligan, an artist and mother living on a beautiful property in the Atherton Tablelands, North Queensland. Surrounded by wildlife, horses, cows, chooks, dogs, and cats, I find endless inspiration in the natural world around me. It’s this deep connection with nature that fuels my art — and my purpose.

I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil. At age seven, I began formal art classes, continuing them for ten years before completing a visual arts course at TAFE. Over the years, I’ve gathered inspiration and techniques from many teachers, weaving them into my own evolving style.

These days, I’m best known for painting Australian birds on timber — each piece a reflection of the beauty I witness daily. I create from a place of stillness, connection, and joy. I also offer prints, take commissions, and occasionally teach to share the creative spark with others.

I believe art is a powerful way to connect — to each other, to our environment, and to something deeper within ourselves.
