Pink roses have always been one of my favourites. I love the way each petal seems to unfold a little more than the last, creating something that's both delicate and full of character.
This watercolour was all about keeping things soft and simple. By building up gentle layers of colour, I wanted to capture the elegance of the rose without losing the light, flowing qualities that make watercolour such a beautiful medium.
